This is a recreation of the red dress worn by Alice in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.
This is a two piece costume, including red and black petticoat and sheer white over dress. The dress is made of a sturdy sheer white pinstripe. Each black stripe is black satin ribbon that has been hand stitched and painted to resemble the dress in the film. The bodice of the dress has an opaque white base with light boning. The skirt and bodice have been edged with hand shredded flounces and the back has a giant bow. The entire overdress zips in the back. The petticoat has an elastic waistband.
This piece took hours upon hours to create. Everything was detailed by hand including the hand cut satin hearts.
